Meet Manikandan, Cofounder and CEO!

Hello there! I'm Manikandan Balakrishnan, the cofounder and CEO of Alkeme.

I began my career in the culinary world, starting as a commis chef in star hotels. My passion for cooking led me to work as a chief cook in the Merchant Navy and eventually become the head chef at a chain of restaurants. Cooking has always been more than just a profession for me; it’s been a lifelong passion.

I love traveling and learning new things, and I believe in giving my all to whatever I do. I always strive to gain deep knowledge and put in my best effort. Yet, despite my achievements in the culinary world, I felt that something was still missing and that led me to start looking at entrepreneurial adventures which eventually led to me taking a leap of faith and start Alkeme

Just as I poured my heart into creating delicious dishes, I now bring the same dedication to Alkeme.

Hi, I'm Priyadharshini Ranganathan, the cofounder and creative mind behind Alkeme!

From the time I was a little girl, I've always been captivated by the magic of creation. Whether it was drawing, crafting, or dreaming up new ideas, creativity has been my constant companion. As a graphic designer, I channel that same passion into my day job, but now, I’m thrilled to bring it to a new realm, that is handmade natural soaps.

Over the past two years, I've poured my heart into learning, researching, and perfecting every detail of Alkeme. My mission is to create the finest natural soaps using only the best ingredients nature has to offer. Each bar is crafted with care and incredible attention to detail, designed to turn your daily routine into a moment of indulgence and joy.
